Uwagi dla autorów
Submission of an article to Molecular Physics Reports is understood to imply that the article is original, unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. All articles submitted for publication will be reviewed. There are no page charges. The articles, written in English, should be typed using a standard word processor or typewriter according to the following instructions.
Regular contributions
Three copies of the typescript should include: title page with - title of article, name(s) of author(s) and address(es) of establishment(s) where work was carried out, short title of not more than 50 characters; abstract; text; list of references; list of captions for illustrations.
Title page: Title of the article should be concise yet informative. Short title, used in header, should not exceed 50 characters. If there are more authors, first their names should be given, followed by the full postal addresses, footnote signs being used as necessary. If an author's present address is different from the address where the work was carried out, this should be given as a footnote to the page.
Abstract: The abstract should be informative, not only indicating the general scope of the article, but also stating the main results and conclusions. The abstract should be complete in itself and should not exceed 200 words.
Text: The first copy of the typescript must be typed with double spacing on one side of the standard size page with wide margins (about 3.5 cm). The other two copies may be double-sided photocopies. The pages must be numbered consecutively. Articles should be divided into sections, and if necessary subsections, preferably numbered. Mathematical and chemical formulae should be legible. Particular care should be given to the position of subscripts and indices. Any special characters (e.g. Greek, script, etc.) should be named in the margin where the character first occurs in the text. Low-definition dot matrix printers should be avoided. Equations should be numbered serially (1), (2), ... on the right side of the page, but only if reference is made to them in the text. In longer articles equations may be numbered serially within each section. Footnotes should be avoided, if required, they should be used only for brief notes which do not fit well into the text. Tables may be included into the text. If table is typed on a separate page its position in the text should be marked. The desired position of each illustration should be also marked in the typescript.
References: References should be numbered sequentially. The numbers occur in square brackets and one number can be used to designate several references. The reference list placed at the end of the paper lists the references in numerical order. Abbreviations of journal titles should follow the conventions of Physics Abstracts (Science Abstracts, Series A). The abbreviated title should be followed by volume number (bold), year (in parenthesis), and page number.
Figures (illustrations) and figure captions: Illustrations (line diagrams and photographs) should be suitable for direct reproduction. The lettering as well as the details should have proportional dimensions to maintain their legibility after the usual reduction. Original lettering, after the appropriate reduction, should appear at the standard size of about 9 to 11 points. The line thickness used for the line drawing should be related to the width of the diagram and the reduction that is likely to be used. The fair copies of diagrams for reproduction should be in black Indian ink on tracing paper, plastic or white card. Authors are advised that some computer-generated figures and traces from pen recorder may not reproduce well. Photographs should be black-and-white glossy prints as rich in contrast as possible. The author's name, the short title of the paper and the number of the figure should be written on the back of each illustration. Captions describing each figure and identifying symbols used should be listed on a separate page of the typescript. Authors wishing to use the facility of colour printing should consult the Editors.
Proofs: Authors will receive galley proofs for correction, which should be returned as soon as possible. All joint communications must indicate the name and address of the authors to whom proofs should be sent.
Transfer of copyright: The authors are asked to submit a completed Assignment of Copyright form. The authors will be sent a copy of the Assignment of Copyright form.
Disks with the source code: All authors are requested to send the source code of articles prepared with the word processors (besides the hard-copy). Standard word processors, like Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or TEX are recommended; if less common processors are used, the authors are asked to add a version of the text in the ASCII format. Computer files containing charts or other illustrations (sent additionally to hard-copies) should be clearly described (including the type and version of program used for their preparation).
Camera-ready contributions
Since no proofs are provided for the camera-ready contributions the text and illustrations should be neat, clean and ready for direct reproduction. Laser printers of at least 600 dots per inch are highly recommended. In camera-ready contributions the illustrations (if any) must be black-and-white line art (no halftones or colour illustrations). Detailed instructions concerning the format and style of the camera-ready contributions for particular issues of Molecular Physics Reports will be provided in a respective circular and will be available from the publishers.
