The conference site is at a neogothic palace, built in the 19th century and beautifully renovated in recent years (for which they won a prize for the "best modernization project in 2002"). There is a conference room (with modern facilities like built-in beamer, etc.) that can host around 100 people. In addition, many nice amenities are available, like fitness room, sauna, restaurant-bar, billiard room, etc. All participants would be accommodated in the palace complex together, which is ideal for stimulating lots of discussions.

By air. Regular flights to the Poznań-Ławica airport are available from Warszawa, Münich, Frankfurt, Vienna, Cologne/Bonn, Copenhagen: http://www.airport-poznan.com.pl.
It is also possible to fly first to Berlin (300 km form Poznań) and then take a train to Poznań. However, there are not many train connections with Berlin, so it is better to check possible train connections first (see below).

By rail to Poznań. Poznań is located on the railway line Berlin-Warszawa approximately midway between these cities and can be reached by EUROCITY and INTERCITY trains from Warszawa and Berlin (approximately 3 hours journey). By car. Conference Center is located in the Mierzęcin village close to Dobiegniew, about 125 kilometers north-west of Poznań. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours by car to get to Mierzęcin from the main railway station of Poznań or the airport.
It is possible to come to Mierzęcin directly from Berlin (3.5 to 4 hours) via Frankfurt(Oder) (see map).

Conference Bus will depart at around 13:00 from Mierzęcin and arrives in the Poznań-Ławica airport and Poznań main railway station around 15:00-15:30.
In the case of reasonable demand, it is possible to organize also a bus to Frankfurt(Oder) railway station at 13:00. It takes about 2 hours to get to Frankfurt from Mierzęcin. There is a very good train connection between Frankfurt(Oder) and Berlin (nearly every half an hour) - it takes about 1 hour.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Currency: The currency in Poland is the Polish Złoty (PLN). The easiest way to get PLN is to pick it up from ATM machines. (1EUR ~ 4 PLN).

Weather: Usually the wheather is nice and sunny at the end of September in Poznań (10-20 °C) but you may need an umbrella as well.
