Objectives:

The conference is intended to exchange ideas with the novel results of modern resonance studies leading to new applications. One and multidimensional NMR and NQR, CW and pulse EPR have given crucial information in the study of crystalline, amorphous materials, ionic conductors, polymers, porous materials, superconductors, etc. Understanding physics at the microscopic levels in these systems is of special importance.

Attention will be also given to the transport phenomena such as flow, diffusion and thermal convection in porous materials. NMR cryoporometry and MRI multidimensionally resolved cryopometry for measuring pore size distributions and NMR relaxation in pores. Current state of the art sees MRI used: to measure water transport into a sample and thus determine diffusivities, to monitor hydration in polymers, to monitor hydration and cure in solids such as cement, glasses, silicates, zeolites, to assess the efficacy of polymeric surface treatments and bulk additives to cement to control water ingress and ion mobility.

We are especially interested in organization of cooperation among young scientists. Based on the scientific achievements of leading physicists from Europe as well as our own, we plan to organize a conference devoted to the problems described above. Main topics of the conference will include also:

  1. Labeling techniques in EPR spectroscopy.
  2. Bistable EPR and stochastic resonances.
  3. Multi-dimensional magnetic resonances.
  4. Radiation damage defects in nano and microcrystalline materials.
